Wooo-to-the-Hooo!

Guess what!! Ah Moi is leaving for Siem Reap (Cambodia) for one week this coming Saturday!!

Initial plan was to spend another week or so at Ho Chi Minh then to Hanoi. But seeing how mother nature is going through some serious menopausal symptoms recently, we decided to cut the trip short... *momentary depression*

Anyhow, I'm still psyched! I NEVER get sick of the feeling when I need to wake up real early to jet off to a holiday. WHO EVER GETS SICK OF THAT??? Anyway, I'm really thankful that I at least don't have to forgo the WHOLE trip.

You know what else I'm thankful for?

THANK GOD period habis on time. The last thing I need when I'm sightseeing is pad bangang.

*Smooches* to Ah Moi's readers

I ciao first,

RAW is the new BLACK.

Today we received the keys to one of the houses that we purchased. Actually, its not really a house. It's more of a half-built structure that got abandoned because the previous investor partners suddenly became bitter enemies over some unresolved issues.

BAD for them, GOOD for us.

THIS, btw, is going to be our future house. So renovation works will resume in a few months time, which will take another few more months before completion, so we're looking to move in around late October or early November (mark your calendars because Ah Moi would like to invite her Ah Lians and Ah Bengs over for house warming).

I have to admit, being in an abandoned structure gives me the goosebumps cuz its so eerie. I also saw a lot of shit/tahi/si/sai everywhere, and whether it originated from an animal's ass or a human's... I choose not to know lo because later I'm going to the pasar malam to eat yau char kuey and the shapes hold some resemblance. I just wanna enjoy my yau char kuey.

Despite the eerieness... I think its an awesome playground for photography enthusiasts. Too bad my mum didn't wanna be my model (not that I asked, she just told me before I asked her. Perasan.).

Creepy crawly plants have already started to grow.

"Stairway to heaven"

Part of my future room :)

Entry into my future walk-in-closet & bathroom.

Ah Moi says HI :)

"Your love is a light unto my path"

I would like to curi and keep this cute lamp thingy. Wait. Stealing is frowned upon if done behind someone's back. So I'm PUBLICLY declaring that I'm taking it.

The basement... my future entertainment area.

Electric box dangling precariously.

Ah Moi's failed attempt at trying to be artsy fartsy.

Irrelevant picture. But then, MY BLOG WAT!!! That makes my face totally relevant.

Besi berkarat.

Favorite shot of the day. Don't lie I know you like it too.

Er. Bricks.

Who wants? I bet its not smelly anymore because no one has worn it for months. Might have mushrooms growing inside though. Didn't dare look.

Whoever wants an INSTANT TAN can just go touch that box (more effective with wet hands).

"...and He will guide me every step of the way"

Save the trees. Use abandoned wooden planks.

Tiny balcony ledge from dining room.

Ceiling beam, that I can ALMOST touch. Who said I stopped growing?

Part of Masterbedroom's walk-in-closet.
Anyway, we have employed a professional architect and designer team. So I hope they'll do a good job. Today I told them I wanted my room to be all GOTHIC and MYSTERIOUS. 5 minutes later, I called them back and said "better not. I'll be afraid to sleep in my own room".

Then they laughed at me.

Minus one brownie point.

I ciao first,
Ah Moi

April Fool is Full of Fools waiting to Fool other Fools.

Can you try saying the title real fast in a FILIPINO accent?

"April Pool is Pull of Pools waiting to Pool other Pools"

Hahahahahaha! I am so funneh.

But yeah, it's April Fool! And everyone seems to be employing the same prank on Facebook. Suddenly everyone seems to be "in a relationship" and some are suddenly "engaged" and a handful are "married" overnight.

Maybe I should do the same. But not on facebook. I'll call my dad later and tell him I'm pregnant. And when he asks "WHO'S THE FATHER????"... I'll say "I'M NOT SURE".

Kua kua kua kua-ua-ua-ua.

***

Recently I started an album on Facebook that reads "Those were the days"... Reason being, I found a stack of my childhood photos the other day while cleaning my room and not wanting to lose them (in case I ever do), I scanned them and showed them to the world how cute I was (and still am *defensive*).

Standard One!! I'm the small tiny being standing far right in second row. I gotta admit, I looked pretty much like a four-eyed ugly duckling. No wonder I always got bullied back then :(
I think this was when I was 7 or 8 years old, during prize giving day. I was in the Top 5 I think (yea, I'm smart wan despite looking otherwise -__-). The girl next to me is Joyce. She was number 1. Uiseh *intimidated*.
THIS is 11-year old me. It's the last day of school when our teachers will allow us to bring our cameras to school. My first camera was a Konica Minolta. Don't mess!
The 12-year old me is furthest on the left wearing a blue prefect uniform. I was a teacher's pet. I got elected EVENTHOUGH when the teacher asked "Why do you wanna be a prefer?", I answered "Because I like the uniform".
I think we were 16 or 17 then. And all four of us were the top heads of the Unit Bimbingan Board. Ahhh, I feel this sense of PRIDE. Picture was taken in Bagan Lalang, Sepang where we organized the UBS training camp. I miss those times :(
Clubs & Societies photography day. This is the Swimming Club in which I was the Sexy-tary Secretary. Btw, in case you can't spot me (in which case, you may need corrective measures on your eyesight), I am the one sweet-smiling angel sitting on the far right.
This was during Prefect's Camp when I was 16 I think. This activity required us to build our own rafts out of bamboo sticks and rubber tyres. Can you imagine? A bunch of girls building our own rafts. Quite hilarious as I remembered it :D
Senior Prefectorial Board. I'm standing 3rd from right in 3rd row. I've been a prefect throughout my secondary schooling life. And I think rightfully so because every student need a spy in the prefectorial board. Hahahaha. Spot checks won't always work because me and my partners in crime (also prefects) will go around broadcasting spot checks and let students hide things in our lockers. We also steal confiscated items stored in the Prefect's room.
I'm sitting second from left. Believe it or not, I was President in Taekwondo Club. No idea why because when I punch you, you'll probably say "Scratch harder, very syiok".

I would like to think that throughout the years, I have grown and blossomed into an even finer looking young lady... but...

O__o
I still look as silly as ever.

I have decided to stop my salsa lessons for the time being because I just don't have the time to do it anymore (over-used excuse alert!).

And also, I have decided to learn ZOUK! I think this dance is super sexy but first I need my hair to be LONG so I can FLING it and FLIP it around! Now with my short hair I think I'll just end up looking like I'm possessed by an angry ghost.

I still LOVE salsa to bits though.

With Min from Brisbane if my memory didn't fail me) who came back for a holiday. REALLY good dancer.
Bachata with Jason Tan at the opening of Taipei Taipei Restaurant.
With Selvan @ Aliyaa's weekly Salsa  Nights on Wednesdays.
With Steven the Salsa King @ Paradiso's weekly Salsa Nights on Fridays.
With Andy-kin @ Aliyaa
Bachata with Wai Kong @ Shivz Grill's weekly Salsa Nights on Sundays (FYI, now on Mondays too!)
With Lion, a very talented instructor from Korea. At La Bomba's weekly Salsa Nights on Fridays.
With Andy @ Shivz Grill.
With Botak Jim, also at Shivz Grill.
With Jason @ La Bomba. It was Chinese New Year, hence the red-ness :)
With Jason @ Paradiso. Although cannot see my face in this picture, I still put up this picture because Jason looks hensem (excuse) and I look thin for once (real reason).
For those of you interested in trying out Salsa, or is curious about what Salsa is all about, come drop by one of these nights at selected venues around KL:

  • Mondays: Shivz Grill, Bangsar (Cover charge of RM10 inclusive of ONE non-alcoholic beverage)
  • Tuesdays: Salsa-less night for now
  • Wednesdays: Aliyaa Restaurant, Damansara Heights (No cover charge, but you should at least get one drink in support of them opening up the venue for social dancing)
  • Thursdays: Modesto, The Curve (No cover charge, but you should at least get one drink in support of them opening up the venue for social dancing) & Shivz Grill, Bangsar (Bachata & Zouk night)
  • Fridays: Paradiso, Jln Raja Chulan (Cover charge of RM10 inclusive of ONE non-alcoholic beverage) & La Bomba, Starhill (Cover charge of RM10 inclusive of ONE non-alcoholic beverage) & Bernard's Restaurant/Pub, Centrepoint BU (No cover charge, but you should at least get one drink in support of them opening up the venue for social dancing)
  • Saturdays: Modesto, CapSquare (No cover charge, but you should at least get one drink in support of them opening up the venue for social dancing)
  • Sundays: Shivz Grill, Bangsar
You should note that these restaurants open up their doors in support of salsa dancing. So I suppose it will be a nice courtesy if people at least buy a drink when they're there. Also, take note that salsa nights are usually after dining hours, which means they normally start around 10-ish till the cows come home.

And tonight, if you're interested, Ah Moi here will be salsa-ing away at La Bomba :) Come la. I promise I won't bite hard, just a bit.

I ciao first,
Ah Moi

SUUUUU-WEEEEET!

LADIES.... Ah Moi found something online. Something that has so little advertisement and coverage that I believe VERY few of you know about this.

Wait for it.

Wait some more...

And some more...

And more...

I am enjoying this. Let me further intensify the irritation with a useless story.

I have mouth ulcers all the time. They are recurrent and painful and annoying. When one heals, another pops out. Nothing... and I mean... NOTHING can cure my ulcers. I tried burning it with Listerine. I tried rinsing salt water. I tried RUBBING salt on it. I tried Oral Aid. NOTHING works. I always end up liking the pain I inflict on myself. -End of useless story-

Back to my discovery. Are you ready laydees??????

Can we all do together a bimbotic scream so high pitch its outside the human hearing range???!!!

SHOE FESTIVAL, babi baybeh!!!!!! How can I not be excited!!!

Details & website are on the flyer. So please make your way there. I went there today for a furniture expo and found it easier and much much cheaper (RM3 flat rate) to park at the bus station right opposite PWTC.

Now THIS is Ah Moi, spreading the LOVE yo. Let's get shoe-gasms together!

I ciao first,
Ah Moi

OH-MAI-KOT. It's been 6 months!

Guess who's back and bloggin'? :)

It's been HALF A FREAKIN' YEAR! So many things have changed. This includes my job industry. My study plans. My hair. My weight. My boyfriend.(I striked that out, but it's true. At this rate I'll never get married. FML).

Haha, that being said... all things have indeed changed for the better. Instead of psychology, I'm now practicing real estate and joining my family business in property investment and management.

Here's the best part. I am venturing into................... THE TOURISM INDUSTRY!

No wait. That wasn't the best part. Here it comes...

"I'VE FINALLY SET UP MY OWN COMPANY!!"

(Please clap. And no you won't look stupid doing it while staring at a computer alone in your room. Promise.)

When everything is in place, and when things are ready to be up and running, I will let y'all know more in detail!!!! But right now, I am just excited.

So back to the less boring stuff, I bought two Guinea Pigs!!!! :)

Everyone, you'll be pleased to meet...

...AND...

So comel I wanna squeeze them till their eyes pop out and their stomachs b.... I sense that I should stop.

Don't worry la. I do get very GERAM looking at them, but most of the time I can control my geram-ness by looking at their poo. Then I find them less cute.

Btw, so many ppl have asked me this, and I'm so sick of answering. So here's the answer to the question I KNOW you wanna ask...
"I DON'T KNOW WHY I LIKE NAMING MY PETS AFTER FOOD. I GUESS I SUBCONSCIOUSLY WOULD LIKE TO COOK THEM AS THEIR NAMES SUGGEST."

There you go.

***

I paid a visit to the Perfect Living Expo 2011 today to look at furnitures because my mum decided to play the nomad card and shift house... AGAIN. This, FYI, is my 5th time changing house in my 23+years of life. This means on the average of every 4 and a half year, I will have to shift. This is what I call a modern city nomad. All that's lacking now is a pet camel.

But I think I should be happy la. Afterall, new house means new room, new bed, new wardrobe (the furniture, not the content), new shower. K la, I'm gloating. I admit. *pretends pai seh*

Anyhow, I bought my walk-in-wardrobe today. And my bed. I can't wait to shop more though. I have plans... BIG plans for my room. BTW, I insisted to my architect/designer to give me an outdoor shower. How awesome!!!

All that being said... I guess I'm thankful for all that I'm blessed with. I don't credit myself at all to any of the things I'm enjoying in life, but I give all credit to my mummy who works hard AND is generous enough to share what she reaped with her ungrateful daughter who always go salsa till late at night and likes jetting off to holidays and always changing boyfriends without telling her.

It's not me. It's my evil twin. I'm an angel.

I ciao first,

Ah Moi

So, weird-ness IS genetic.

Below is the translated version of "Perdidos"... One of my favorite Bachata tunes. And its in Spanish. Sexy smuch! *swoons*

Btw, translated lyrics are posted because I am too free at work (luckily my boss doesn't know of this blog wahaha. ahem). This is a disclaimer statement because one of two speculations is predicted to result from this:

1. She must be having problems with her boyfriend.
2. She must be liking sambardee new.

WTH, not everything is about love and relationships ok.

Perdidos (Lost)
-by Monchy & Alexandra

That smile divine

That look that kills
That aroma that envelopes
And even the soul intoxicates me
The way you talk in my ear
It makes me live

Your black hair flying
And strokes my face
That kiss that turns me on
Arriving early
The way you love me
Makes me go to heaven
But I want to take me to a new world
Very far from here

Take me to where you want love
That with you I'm happy
With you I am happy (with you I'm happy)

The two are lost in a boat
Sailing aimlessly in the forbidden
Caught in the seas of passion
Lost
Delivered without silent actions
And secretly
Waiting for dawn
In our promised land

We must find the way
A happiness
Where nobody will tell us
Whom we must love

Liberate the hearts
And let's fly

But I want to take me to
A new world
Very far from here

Take me to where you want love
That with you I'm happy
I am happy with you.

I swear, everytime I hear this song, I melt on the spot. My mother on the other hand... thinks differently.

Once, she sat in my car and I played this song...

Me: Mumsie (this IS what I call her), listen to this song. It's my favorite.

Mum: Since when you are into Indian songs?

That's not the worst part...

Me: It's not Indian. It's Spanish!!! And this is for a type of dance called Bachata.

Mum: Bachata?? Isn't that a sort of appetizer?

Me: No, that's bruschetta...... -__-"

Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore

The only reason why I'm giving up my precious afternoon is to write this post so I can watch the above movie for free.

(*Warning: due to extreme sleepiness, I can haz broken Engrand)

Its my first time writing a blog post to earn myself free tickets to a movie screening. So bear with me and my incoherent writing from this point on (I'm actually pretty excited :D ).

I saw the trailer for the movie, and the first thing that came to mind was... MY DOGS (or at least that's what I tell ppl they are). I have 3 of them.

-Cody the Shihtzu-

-Fido the Jack Russell-

-Hugo the English bulldog-

How I wish my dogs can do half of what the dogs in the trailer can do. Then they'll be so smart I can just goreng my maid and ask them to do housework for me. They'll be natural born superheroes, all out to save the world from ONE crazy cat, or in my case... ALL cats (I hate cats religiously).

Unfortunately, all that they know how to do is to...

1. Chew on my underwear...

Somemore must only be thongs & g-strings. High maintenance.

2. Chew on rubber chicken...

(-__-) & (0.O")

3. Lick their balls

(In Cody's case, it's singular, because he only has one. Poor thing, it explains his gay-ness)...

4. Pee on tyres...

"Don't take picture la, I shy okey. My pee wong-kam-kam cuz I don't drink water"

At one time, my bulldog thought he was a squirrel and tried climbing a tree.

My Jack Russell is supposed to be the fierce one guarding the house, but instead likes rolling over at the sight of any human being.

The Shihtzu, tak payah cakap. He acts like he's the king of the house and wants his pellets to be fed to him one by one.

Epic phail, how to save the world liddat?

Anyways, that being said... I LOVEEEEE my dogs no matter how weird they are. And truth be told, if they're half as intelligent as the dogs are in the trailer, I'd be quite freaked out. So I love them just as they are. Clumsy, silly and ADORABLE :D

And now, I have something to look forward to. A movie on Wednesday night!!!!!! *kao tim/brush hands*

Oh and EVO said I must thank Adverlets in the post...

So yea... thank you/xie xie/mm koi/terima kasih/gracias. I is thankful & happy. Really wan.

I ciao first,
Ah Moi
