So, weird-ness IS genetic.

Below is the translated version of "Perdidos"... One of my favorite Bachata tunes. And its in Spanish. Sexy smuch! *swoons*

Btw, translated lyrics are posted because I am too free at work (luckily my boss doesn't know of this blog wahaha. ahem). This is a disclaimer statement because one of two speculations is predicted to result from this:

1. She must be having problems with her boyfriend.
2. She must be liking sambardee new.

WTH, not everything is about love and relationships ok.

Perdidos (Lost)
-by Monchy & Alexandra

That smile divine

That look that kills
That aroma that envelopes
And even the soul intoxicates me
The way you talk in my ear
It makes me live

Your black hair flying
And strokes my face
That kiss that turns me on
Arriving early
The way you love me
Makes me go to heaven
But I want to take me to a new world
Very far from here

Take me to where you want love
That with you I'm happy
With you I am happy (with you I'm happy)

The two are lost in a boat
Sailing aimlessly in the forbidden
Caught in the seas of passion
Lost
Delivered without silent actions
And secretly
Waiting for dawn
In our promised land

We must find the way
A happiness
Where nobody will tell us
Whom we must love

Liberate the hearts
And let's fly

But I want to take me to
A new world
Very far from here

Take me to where you want love
That with you I'm happy
I am happy with you.

I swear, everytime I hear this song, I melt on the spot. My mother on the other hand... thinks differently.

Once, she sat in my car and I played this song...

Me: Mumsie (this IS what I call her), listen to this song. It's my favorite.

Mum: Since when you are into Indian songs?

That's not the worst part...

Me: It's not Indian. It's Spanish!!! And this is for a type of dance called Bachata.

Mum: Bachata?? Isn't that a sort of appetizer?

Me: No, that's bruschetta...... -__-"

Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore

The only reason why I'm giving up my precious afternoon is to write this post so I can watch the above movie for free.

(*Warning: due to extreme sleepiness, I can haz broken Engrand)

Its my first time writing a blog post to earn myself free tickets to a movie screening. So bear with me and my incoherent writing from this point on (I'm actually pretty excited :D ).

I saw the trailer for the movie, and the first thing that came to mind was... MY DOGS (or at least that's what I tell ppl they are). I have 3 of them.

-Cody the Shihtzu-

-Fido the Jack Russell-

-Hugo the English bulldog-

How I wish my dogs can do half of what the dogs in the trailer can do. Then they'll be so smart I can just goreng my maid and ask them to do housework for me. They'll be natural born superheroes, all out to save the world from ONE crazy cat, or in my case... ALL cats (I hate cats religiously).

Unfortunately, all that they know how to do is to...

1. Chew on my underwear...

Somemore must only be thongs & g-strings. High maintenance.

2. Chew on rubber chicken...

(-__-) & (0.O")

3. Lick their balls

(In Cody's case, it's singular, because he only has one. Poor thing, it explains his gay-ness)...

4. Pee on tyres...

"Don't take picture la, I shy okey. My pee wong-kam-kam cuz I don't drink water"

At one time, my bulldog thought he was a squirrel and tried climbing a tree.

My Jack Russell is supposed to be the fierce one guarding the house, but instead likes rolling over at the sight of any human being.

The Shihtzu, tak payah cakap. He acts like he's the king of the house and wants his pellets to be fed to him one by one.

Epic phail, how to save the world liddat?

Anyways, that being said... I LOVEEEEE my dogs no matter how weird they are. And truth be told, if they're half as intelligent as the dogs are in the trailer, I'd be quite freaked out. So I love them just as they are. Clumsy, silly and ADORABLE :D

And now, I have something to look forward to. A movie on Wednesday night!!!!!! *kao tim/brush hands*

Oh and EVO said I must thank Adverlets in the post...

So yea... thank you/xie xie/mm koi/terima kasih/gracias. I is thankful & happy. Really wan.

Good things return with a BANG.

I know. My blog's dead. And someone reminded me of it today at work. *sheepish smile*

When asked why I have given up blogging the past few months, my instant reply was... "NOTHING SPECIAL HAPPENED OSO". But upon closer inspection, LOTS have been happening, but words are probably not enough to describe them in full detail (good excuse to cover up my lazy ass).

See, I just sounded so boring explaning my laziness. The blogging magic has truly left me for good.

***

I've been indulging in some (ok, lots of) salsa for the past 3 months.

Not to mention how shamefully hooked I am to "lao zhap" bachata. And btw, Lao Zhap= Juice Meleleh, which if you ask me, sounds DAMN wrong on so many levels... but then again, the term originated from Jason Tan himself. So it's self-explanatory :D .

After all, he was the one who Lao Zhap Bachata-ed in Vietnam until underwear basah. *hides from Jason*

My first time Salsa-ing with "jilo" experience. I was hooked on the spot.

Super cool (in a not so good way) guy who's ALWAYS in his element. Dances with his eyes closed all the time I feel so un-look-ed at. CIZ.

Andy & I with our signature pose, which we decided, we need to grow out of.

Lao zhap-ing with Jason for his XX-th birthday

Newbie (like ME) James who's actually PRETTY good.

And yesterday, we had our first assessment for our Salsa Beginners class, and yours truly got FULL MARKS!

But then again, I think it's actually quite common and not really a biggie when it comes to that lar <-- must pretend modest later ppl say I like to blow water/chui sui/talk big/cakap besar.

I'm seriously looking forward to starting pre-Intermediate next week. I wanna learn Shines!! Just so I won't look so bodoh standing there and mambo-ing while the guy starts doing his thing and out-Shining me. Kenot take it. Bwahahaha.

***

And my boyfriend flew all the way back and surprised the hell out of me!!! :D

Most romantis thing anyone has done for me in a long while. But that deserves a blog post all on its own, so I'm gonna stop talking about this here :)

***

My colleagues and I went on a company trip to Medan. The city has got nothing to shout about, but once you travel out to the kampung area into Lake Toba and the other highland area, its REALLY nice and serene. Something I can live with considering the chaos I have to put up with at work everyday *nurses scratched arm and bite marks*

The happy KG family :D

From Hotel Danau Toba @ Lake Toba. Beautiful view and awesome fresh air to wake up to.

Cruising the lake toba. (L-R: Next Door Ah Moi, Big Boss, Frontdesk KL, KL Technician, PENANG Technician)

The Batak ppl who serenaded us with some lovely local tunes but later tried extorting us to pay for their half-boiled talents. Gave them M'sian currency and they asked for USD -__-

At Samosir Island (the island within Lake Toba which is in fact, a crater. How boomz!)

Perfect place to buy souvenirs. I will return one day, and actually REMEMBER to get them :P

View from our boat. Totally peaceful.

Docked at another part of Samosir Island.

Yes, they're wooden boobies. Touch for goodluck wtf.

Intricate carvings.

Sorry, but I gotta abruptly end this post because my it's time for supper and nth is more important than that.

To be continued tmrw (we all know that's not gonna happen).

Baibai.

Dublin 2010

There're too few pictures taken at Dublin.

A very good excuse for that would be this...: Which girl wants to drag an SLR around when she's on a MAJOR (yes, capital letters don't pray pray) shopping spree?

Dublin doesn't look like it, but shopping there is too awesome for words!!!!!!!

Technically, you'll know you're entering a shopping haven of a city when the immigration officer looks at you and asks: Brought enough money for shopping, young lady?

Here, we bought so much we needed to buy an extra luggage (EACH). And even the luggages we got it at dirt cheap price. That's hardly a celebration because we soon realised we needed to pay the penalty for overweight luggage -______- .

Shopping spree with a weight limit. How sucky can it get?

Dublin is a really nice city to walk around during the daytime. Not so much at night, because literally everyone will be drunk and smelling of Guinness.

We saw a nice police drama on the streets... LIVE!!!!

Apparently a drunkard was trying to get away with not paying for food. The restaurant manager caught the fella and the next thing you know... Punches and kicks and creatively structured vulgar sentences (involving mothers and va-jay-jays) were exchanged.

The police came in less than 3 minutes... with the siren and all... handcuffed the drunk fella and drove away. Damn cekap.

Not like Malaysian police: have to pay for their nasi lemak & teh tarik... and dig their teeth... before heading to the scene.

Anyways, we had a good few days of shopping and the food wasn't too bad as well. Of course, by then, I was totally craving Chinese food & Malaysia food. We went for a Chinese buffet which cost us like 15Euro per pax.

Quite a rip off considering how we can get chap-fan here for like....... RM5... o.O"

See how round I got??? That's the prime reason why I HATE the cold weather in Europe. It makes me hungry by the hour. Impossible to stay thin, can????

(Here I am, doing my touristy pose)

Btw, before I forget... the best thing about shopping at Western countries is that we Asians, get to shop at the kids' department!!!

Isn't that a fantastic boost for self-esteem, especially for a ballooning tourist like me???? :D

(No matter what goes through your head, IT'S THE JACKET dammit!)

Anyway.......... this pretty much sums up Dublin on my part. A pretty lousy traveller if you ask me. Hoho.

The sad part is... I won't be having anymore travel posts to post up... simply because I won't be travelling for a while. My next trip will be in July to Lake Toba in Medan.

So from now to July, what shall I blog about leh? *wa tao/scratch head*

Best of Edinburgh 2010 (Part 3)

I got so lazy and tied up with work, I actually thought of giving up blogging for good.

But then again, where else can I show off my travel pictures, my camwhore pictures, my brilliant "a-ha!" moments........ I can't deprive the world of that. That'd be too selfish of me.

:D

Here're more pictures from Scotland... the highlands this time. Took a tour bus from the city all the way into mountains of Scotland. It's the longest ever bus ride I've EVER had. My butt was flattened by as much as ONE INCH at the end of the day.

That being said, it was also one of the most scenic bus rides.

Please excuse some of the pictures' quality. They were taken when I'm on a moving, bumpy bus :(

I could totally see the change in scenery as we moved from the low lands to the high lands...

First, there were nice trees, green grass, clear waters. And the next thing we know...

Drastic change huh? But it was lovely. Not something we get to see everyday, more so in the oven we live in called Malaysia.

We stopped by at a farm for toilet break and I met this fella. He's Scottish. He's blonde. He's hairy (in a good way). And he is SOOOOO cute he puts Robert Pattinson to shame.

Girls, are you ready????

Gotcha!

Seriously, damn cute right?????? Can hardly see the eyes! Hahahaha.

Kenot help but to take a picture with the cutey.

I touched the horn and it snorted mucus at me. Cibai. After that, not so cute anymore.

Turned to admire the scenery instead...

When I'm old, I wouldn't mind giving up city life to live in a farm on a Scottish highland. It's so serene, I can picture myself waking up to a cup of freshly brewed coffee, sitting on the front porch and just looking at the mountains every morning.

Of course, I suppose if I get something THAT good everyday, even looking at Zac Efron in the showers will lose its novelty.

(Okay, no I take that back)

While I try to get the above image out of my head, here're more scenery pictures for you...

Btw, eventhough we were at a farm... it wasn't stinky at all!!!!! Or maybe it was so cold, my nose was just practically numb. Either way, I was glad I didn't have to put up with any forms of horrible stench. I've put up with enough from the group of Italian dudes in the same bus.

I went into the souvenir shop and nearly bought this hat....

I mean, it was cute while it lasted... But I hardly see a purpose for it unless you call "sitting in my cupboard at home, collecting dust" a purpose.

We got back onto the bus after half an hour of toilet break, and continued our journey upwards to... less sun, more snow, and MORE COLD.

(Again my apologies. Picture taken on a moving bus)

We stopped by at the place where the Massacre of Glencoe took place. *Click here* for more info on the massacre.

But anyway, massacre or not, this place looked absolutely MAJESTIC (albeit the dark and gloomy aura)...

Believe me, it doesn't look it, but the temperature was absolutely FREEZING. If Chang was there, he will be making inappropriate jokes like his nipples are falling off from the cold.

Lots of adventurous travellers often drive up to the mountains and a lot of of them actually put up tents to stay for a good few nights. Honestly, when night falls, I'd be pretty freaked out staying there.... given its history.

This is about as adventurous as I can get.......

(Standing on a 10-inch elevated ledge. Haha)

Nah, just kidding. Given the right timing, the right amount of $$$, and the right company... I'd really love to give camping in the Scottish highlands a try.

Do you see how small and insignificant I become amongst these tall majestic mountains? Hardly a feeling I can get used to. Haha.

Btw, credit to the mother for taking all these pictures of me. I gotta say, she's not half bad :)

Aren't snow-capped mountains pretty??????

(Big pair of daunting, intimidating boobs... I mean, mountains.)

I half wished we could've stayed longer to admire the view. But we've had another couple of hours of journey ahead of us. Plus, the wind and the cold was too much to bear after a while...

We took one last look... and we headed off to our next destination: Loch Ness! :)

Of course, every tourists hope is to be able to spot the Loch Ness Monster... *click here* for more info.

It is more fondly known by the locals as Nessie. I'm mildly uncomfortable by the fact that it sort of rhymes with my nickname: Natty. Oh well.

(THIS is Natty. Not Nessie. WTF.)

We got onboard this cruise which took us to the middle of the lake (hardly the middle actually, seeing that Loch Ness is the second largest in Scotland).

Spotting the monster (whether it actually exist or not) is hardly something I expected to do. Some people dedicated their WHOLE lives to spot the monster... so I'll just leave them to their jobs :D

Here're some pretty sceneries instead....

I'm not blowing my own horn, but I think the picture above is post-card worthy.

And btw, if in the midst of looking at my pictures, and one of you spots Nessie... please let me know so I can sell the picture for millions of dollars. I'll reward you handsomely for your keen eye :D

Again, it was extremely cold, extremely windy. Don't let the sun fool you. It can give you a sunburn... but you can hardly feel it because all you'll feel is your skin literally cracking from the biting cold.

The cruise lasted about half an hour. It got pretty boring after all because the scenery was pretty much the same throughout that part of the lake we were in.

When the cruise ended, we packed into the bus and it was yet another looooong journey back to the city centre of Edinburgh...

We took a different route home from the one we came in, and were rewarded with more snow... and glimpses of small herds of deers coming out to chew on rare patches of fresh green grass.

Pretty or WHAT???

It was a helluva sibeh long journey. But it was so worth it. Anyone who's planning a trip to Scotland SHOULD see the highlands. It's not something you want to miss.

...And this pretty much wraps up my trip to Scotland.

Next up... DUBLIN! Though I'm pretty sure I can finish that trip in ONE short post. Not much pictures taken there. Will explain why later. Stay tuned!

I ciao first,
Ah Moi
